Marathon, O' Marathon, you & I are through, for years I tried to please only you. I gave up my Sundays, junk food & wine, for a PR time that would be all mine. But come race day when I should have peaked and given that time I so greatly seeked, you spit me out, wasted & chewed, with no glory time, just tired & screwed!
I am an avid 40+ runner, who is dealing with some knee issues. Previously, I used the pool for my recovery runs. 2013 will be spent trying to see what substituting track workouts for speedwork in the pool will bring me race day. I currently work, run & play with Capital Area Runners and my dog Dash! I successfully use pool running as part of my weekly & workouts. Other things I love are Muscle Milk (light), Roctane, Nike, & CWX. (and now taking lots of pics at CAR races!
